2021 National Barn Hunt
Check back often for updates
The Barn Hunt National is full with a waiting list. If you have not yet received an email regarding your confirmed entry or place on the wait list, you will as soon as we can get to them. Please don't despair, there is a good chance that quite a few people will get in from the waiting list. We realize that being on a wait list is frustrating, especially if you entered on the first day. This is the first time in the history of the National that it has filled, much less this quickly. We are excited!
Q: Can you just add another ring to add more people?
A: No, we cannot expand the entry at the National. Not just because of physical room at the site, but also making sure we do not go over the number of rats that we can humanely use and care for during the Event. Our National will always be limited for that reason.
Q: What can I do now? Should I get on the waitlist?
A: Yes, get on that waitlist. People will drop before the National. People that are on the waitlist will get in. If you get on the list now, you will have a better chance.
Q: How do I get on the waitlist?
A: All you have to do is fill out your entry form just like you planned on doing. You will automatically be put on the waitlist in the order the waitlist entries were received. If a dog is unable to attend, the first person on the waitlist will be contacted.
Q: How were entries processed? Were they processed how they were received?
A: Yes, entries were processed in the order in which they were received.
Q: Will Barn Hunt Association do anything different next year?
A: Yes, we will look at different entry methods for 2022, including limiting the number of entries per envelope, random draw, no hand deliveries, etc. Those were not in place for 2021 because they were
never needed prior.
Please note that while we understand that some people are unhappy they are on a wait list, hostile and angry emails are inappropriate and will be discarded without response. We are a small Club of dedicated enthusiasts working hard to put on the best National ever. We are so excited to meet all of you and have fun with you and your dogs Thank you all for your patience and good humor!
